Police on Sunday detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) member of the National Assembly, Alamgir Khan, alongside at least three others as FixIt members and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) workers clashed during a protest.

FixIt members, under the leadership of MNA Alamgir Khan, were staging a protest outside the office of minister of Sindh for local government, Saeed Ghani, when it turned into a clash that left multiple people injured.

On the other hand, PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman reacted to Alamgir Khan's detention, alleging that the PPP workers and police were the ones who assaulted others.

However, Sheeraz Nazeer, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) for South district, refuted Zaman's claims and said people from both the sides were wounded in the clash.
