    The Meteorological Department has forecasted hot weather for Karachi from Saturday (Today) for next few days.

    Director Met Office Abdul Rasheed said the temperature in Karachi is expected to rise from September 22 to 26 owing to the low pressure of winds in Bay of Bengal. However, the temperature will start going down from September 26.

    He went on to say the mercury is expected to hit 38 degree Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.

    Earlier on September 07, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had expressed the possibility of rainfall in different parts of the country on Friday.

    According to the Met Office, seasonal low lie over northeast Balochistan. Weak moist currents from the bay of Bengal were reaching northeastern parts of the country.

    Met office had predicted rain-thundershower with gusty winds at isolated places in Gujranwala, Lahore, Rawalpindi divisions and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

    Hot and humid weather was expected elsewhere in the country. The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country during the past 24 hours. Sibbi remained the hottest place in the country on Thursday with the temperature rising up to 42°C.
