    Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday paid a visit to Jinnah Hospital in Karachi and inspected the condition of the wards.

    CJP conducted hearing of a case pertaining to the dilapidated condition of the hospital at Supreme Court (SC) Karachi registry during which, Dr Sami Jamali said that several patients come to the hospital on daily basis and the number of janitorial staff is less.

    CJP ordered Dr Sami to submit oath documents as all the facilities are present in the hospital.

    After the hearing, Mian Saqib visited Jinnah Hospital and met the patients to hear their issues. He also inspected the facilities at CT scan and other wards.

    Dr Sami Jamali said that the chief justice lauded arrangements at the hospital and also gave him Rs1 lac as a gift.

    Meanwhile, the court expressed dissatisfaction over the condition of Jinnah Medical and Dental College and directed to fill its performas in three days.

    A woman also surrounded Mian Saqib and demanded him to take action into her son’s killing in fake encounter.
