An unidentified man left the 10-year-old boy, who had gone missing, near his home in the wee hours of Saturday and disappeared without meeting anyone in Karachi’s Burns Road area.

The boy is apparently unharmed and there are no marks of torture on his body. It has been learnt that a man had taken the child, Usman, away when he was going to study at a seminary on Friday (yesterday).

A wave of fear, concern and frustration was spread in the area after the child’s abduction. The furious locals had staged a protest late night and blocked Burns Road by setting tyres on fire.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Kamran Tessori and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Sher Zaman had also visited the place after the instance.

Furthermore, the interior minister and Sindh IGP had taken notice of the incident. The affected family had asked the authorities to take appropriate actions to halt these types of occurrences.
