Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan senior leader and Opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, Khawaja Izharul Hassan survived an assassination attempt as he was leaving a Mosque after offering Eid-ul-Azha prayers early Saturday morning here in Buffer Zone area.
A police constable and a child were killed and five others were injured. Rescue officials shifted the deceased and the injured to the hospital.
According to the details, unidentified armed men attacked on MQM leader after Eid-ul-Azha prayers in Buffer Zone, area of Karachi.
However, One of the assailant was shot dead in retaliatory firing by security guard. Police claimed to have recovered a 9mm pistol and a motorbike from the crime scene.
