  • Six accused of tying woman to pole in Hyderabad sent on remand

    The six people accused of tying a woman to a pole were sent on a three-day remand to the police on Tuesday.

    According to the police, eyewitnesses told the woman pelted stones at some cars parked in SITE area of Hyderabad, smashing their windows on Monday. They added people in the area tried to stop her, but she did not listen due to which they tied her hands to a pole.

    Police said when the people asked her the reason, she said her children were hungry in Tando Muhammad Khan and she wanted to go there but no one was helping her with the fare she needed for the bus ride to the district from Hyderabad.

    Later, the police said, people in the area calmed her down and help her board a bus to Tando Muhammad Khan.

    However, no one knew why the woman was in Hyderabad.

    Nevertheless, after watching a footage of the incident made by a passer-by, police arrested six people for tying the woman to a pole.

    The accused were presented before court of the judicial magistrate on Tuesday, where the police obtained their three-day remand.

    The arrested persons, including Asim Abbas, Khair Muhammad, Shah Jahan, Fahad Shah, Insafullah and Rana Imran. Insafullah and Rana Imran.
