    Rangers have issued a high-alert as part of security measures ahead of Ashura-e-Muharram in Karachi.

    According to a press release issued by Rangers spokesman, the paramilitary took special measures to ensure security in Muharram and decided to use specials machine for verification of identity, linked with NADRA database.

    The machine will be used to verify the identity of any suspect during the snap checking in the city. The machine will be installed especially on the processions’ route and around Imambargahs.

    The Rangers have appealed to the peaceful citizens of Karachi to carry their original computerized national identity cards (CNICs) and documents of their motorbikes and vehicles while travelling.
