  • Two police officers among 9 gunned down in Karachi

    At least nine people were killed and seven sustained injuries in incidents of violence in Karachi.

    According to details, three people were shot dead and five others were wounded in firing incident in Sherpao Colony in Landhi.

    A spokesman of Awami National Party (ANP), Sindh informed that the deceased Salim, Sajid and Abid were ANP activists. Tension spread in the area after the incident and shops and markets were shut down.

    Some unidentified gunmen, riding on motorcycles, opened fire and shod dead 8-year-ol Abdullah in Pirabad area.

    In Gulistane Johar, CID police officer Saeed Mansoori was killed in firing incident while ASI Rafiq was gunned down in Memon Goth area. The funeral prayer of Saeed Mansoori was offered at Garden Police Headquarters.

    Some unidentified miscreants shot dead 50-year-old Shabbir in Haydri area while a minor girl was killed in firing incident in New Karachi.

    In another incident of firing, 70-year-old Zulfiza Bibi was gunned down in Baldia Town while 10-year-old Ashfaq and 13-year-old Shahid were wounded. Police have arrested two accused in connection of firing.
