Five police personnel were martyred and one other was seriously wounded when a group of criminals opened fire on their vehicle in Rajan Pur district last night.
A spokesman of Rajan Pur Police said the police personnel were on routine patrolling in the limits of Arabi Tiba Police Station.
He said all dead bodies and the injured policeman have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Rajan Pur.
