Chief Justice of Lahore High Court on Wednesday constituted a new bench to hear on Hamza Shahbaz’s bail pleas upon the request of the latter.

As per details, the newly constituted bench will be comprised of Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi and Justice Shahid Waheed Khan.

Earlier, a two-member bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) hearing bail pleas filed by Hamza Shahbaz was dissolved after reservations expressed by him.

An LHC bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najfani heard on bail plea of Shahbaz filed in Ramzan Sugar Mills case.

“Chairman NAB, in his interview, said that the bench was going to get changed. Chairman said that I would not let Hamza hide behind bail. He has also said that he will cancel my bail”, Hamza Shahbaz had claimed.

He added that DG NAB was talking ill of him and his father Shahbaz Sharif on media, alleging the Anti-graft body of raiding his home ‘like goons’.

“Respectfully stating, I do not confide in the bench. I have reservations”, the PML-N leader said.

To this, the LHC bench recused from hearing on his pleas.
