    The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed the new local government bill amid the uproar and protest from opposition.

    As per details, the Punjab Assembly on Tuesday passed two bills, The Punjab Local Government Bill 2019, The Punjab Villages Panchayats and Neighborhood Councils Bill 2019. The opposition members tear down the copies of the agenda and staged walkout from the house.

    All LG intuitions will be dissolved after the approval from Punjab governor.

    The decisions had been taken during a provincial cabinet meeting with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office in Lahore. Presiding over the meeting, CM Buzdar had said that the government had been committed to empower the local bodies of the province.
