The Punjab Government has decided to appoint female SHOs in various police stations at Lahore in order to bring change in Thana culture. At least five female sub-inspectors have already been selected from the Lahore Police, who will be assigned SHO duties in Lahore police stations.

The relevant ladies sub-inspectors are being given SHO ship Course at District Police Lines, where 65 male police sub-inspectors are also being trained for the same course.

The selected ladies sub-inspectors had written an application to the DIP requesting him to post them as SHO in Lahore police stations. DIG Operations Haider Ashraf has lauded their initiatives and later selected them for the relevant course.
