Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Saturday has alleged former ‎Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari of looting the nation. ‎

Talking to media in Risalpur, Rasheed said that now, people will decide ‎between ‘thief’ and ‘guardian’. He also announced to sack ghost employees working in the department.

Innovations are being introduced to make Pakistan Railways a profitable institution, he added.‎

The minister said that the locomotives will be run with latest technology, adding that foreign ‎entrepreneurs will be given incentives to invest in Railways for increasing its revenue.‎

Sheikh Rasheed said the government is also working for welfare of Railways workers.‎

On the other hand, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned three railway officials ‎on November 26 in a scandal regarding purchase of expensive train engines.‎

The officials have alleged former minister Khawaja Saad Rafique of assistance in ‎this regard.
