In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Suki Kinari Hydropower Project ,under CPEC ,after completion will generate around 870MW inexpensive electricity to meet growing energy needs of the country .
Counsellor Embassy of China Li Yuanling giving details of the project in Islamabad today said this is one of the largest private sector run-of-the-river projects and will become operational in 2022 .
It will be completed at a cost of 1.92 billion dollars and generate jobs for 3,000 local residents .
The Suki Kinari hydropower project is located on Kunhar River in the Kaghan Valley of District Mansehra.
