  • KP Assembly session summoned on August 13

     Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has summoned the provincial assembly session on Monday, August 13.

    According to a notification issued by the governor’s secretary, the governor has summoned the KP assembly session on Monday 10PM.

    On the first day of the session, the new elected members of the provincial assembly will take oath of their office. This will be followed by the elections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and then the chief minister.

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) enjoys comfortable majority in the provincial assembly and its chief Imran Khan has nominated former sports minister Mehmood Khan as chief minister.

    The party ruled the province from year 2013 to 2018 with Pervez Khattak as CM.
