    A Grand Jirga was held in Lakki Marwat to get justice for slain Asma Rani, who was killed in Kohat for refusing marriage, and for the purpose a 33-member committee was formed on Friday.

    The Grand Jirga was chaired by District Nazim Iqbal Hussain. After the jirga conducting press conference Iqbal Hussain condemned the killing of Asma Rani and demanded the main culprit immediately.
    He vowed that Marwat’s will not end their protest till the taking the culprit to task.

    “33-member committee will participate supreme court hearing which will be held on February 13 and will also stage protest march from Islamabad National Press Club to parliament house,” he told media persons.

    The father of slain Asma Rani has given full authority to Jirga whatever the decision they will take.

    On January 31, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has contacted Interpol in Saudi Arabia and sent a letter for the arrest of murderer of medical student Asma Rani, who was allegedly shot dead by Mujahidullah Afridi, nephew of the district president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Aftab Alam, over marriage refusal in Kohat.

    The FIA, on the request of KP police has sent a letter to Interpol requesting to help for the arrest of slain Asma Rani murderer Mujahullah, who fled to Saudi Arabia after killing her.
