  • Khursheed Shah's helicopter makes emergency landing in Balakot

Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah's helicopter had to make an emergency landing in Balakot on Saturday evening due to bad weather conditions, all on-board remained safe.

PPP leaders Sherry Rehman, Faisal Karim Kundi, Nayyar Bukhari and Shah himself were travelling to Kaghan after the PPP's political gathering in Mansehra.

"Heli caught in a storm on way to Kaghan ... But locals' love makes up for it!" Senator Sherry Rehman posted on Twitter, with a picture of Kundi and herself surrounded by locals.

The leaders then took taxis to travel to a local hotel in Balakot, where they stayed for a short while before heading to their destination by road.

Earlier, the PPP leaders had attended a party gathering in Mansehra in which party chairman Bilawal Bhutto had lashed out at both PTI and PML-N. He accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and PTI chief Imran Khan of being involved in widespread corruption in the province.

The PPP's rally in Mansehra was a part of the party's mass contact campaign ahead of the 2018 general elections.
