  • Peshawar: Provincial Minister Shazia Aurangzeb Quits PML (Nawaz)

    MPA of PML-N in KPK Assembly Shazia Aurangzeb has resigned from party membership. Former central general secretary of PML (N) women wing and member of KPK Assembly Shazia Aurangzeb today announced that she was no more a party member.

    At a news conference at Peshawar Press Club she said that there was no respect for loyal workers in the PML-N as it had become the party of only the leaders. She said the party had already lost its prestige in the province due to tussles within the party. However, she said her membership of the KP Assembly could not be cancelled as per the Constitution.

    Shazia claimed that women in Hazara division had presented their resignations while female office bearers in district Nowshehra and Peshawar will also resign soon. She said she would in future she would join a party where females and workers are given due respect. According to the sources Shazia Aurangzeb had raised objections over the appointment of some office bears of women’s wing of the party.
