The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced the cancellation of its rally scheduled for November 8 in Peshawar, opting instead to establish a tent village.

According to party sources, PTI has chosen to focus on setting up a tent village in Peshawar and plans to create another in Swabi after November 10. Thousands of tents will be erected at the Swabi Rest House for this purpose.

The tent village is expected to attract millions of PTI supporters from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In addition, party leaders, including Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, ministers, MNAs, and MPAs, will also stay in the tent village.

Sources indicate that there is a possibility of party workers marching towards Islamabad from the tent village, although the final decision regarding this march will be made by the central leadership.

PTI leader Arbab Asim stated that the decision to set up the tent village was made in light of the large attendance expected from supporters nationwide. He added that the Chief Minister and other central and provincial leaders would address the gathering. However, the exact date for the tent village’s establishment is yet to be finalized due to a religious gathering.
