Two army personnel were martyred as security forces conducted an operation in a rural area of Peshawar, killing five terrorists, said Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) on Sunday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on reported presence of terrorists and during conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location.
However, in the intense exchange of fire, Captain Hussain Jahangir, aged 25 and a resident of Rahim Yar Khan District, leading his troops from the front, and another brave soldier, Havildar Shafiq Ullah, aged 36 and from District Karak, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.
Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
