    In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one youth on Eid-ul-Azha day in Kulgam district, today.

    According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Paddar, was killed by Indian forces of Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group during crackdown operation at Tantray Pora in the district.

    Dozens of people were injured after Indian police used brute force and fired pellets on pro-freedom protesters in Srinagar, Islamabad, Sopore, Bandipore, Bijbehara, Kulgam, Shopian, and other areas. The Indian forces also fired pellets and bullets on Nimazis at Eidgah in Srinagar, Eidgah Achahipora and Eidgah Janglat Mandi in Islamabad areas. The protesters also shouted high-pitched slogans We Want Freedom, Go India Go back and hosted Pakistani national flags in different areas.

    On the other hand, the authorities have illegally detained top resistance leadership including 88-year-old APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Massarat Aalam Butt, Sayeda Asiya Andarbi, Fehmeeda Sofi and Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in houses and jails to prevent them from offering Eid prayers when billions of Muslims across the globe are celebrating the festival of Eid-ul-Azha.

    The 88-year-old APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani has spend his 17th Eid in a row inside his home in Hyderpora in Srinagar and was disallowed by authorities from stepping outside his house.

    Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Secretary General of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat has been detained in his house at Baghat in Srinagar for several months was not allowed to attend special prayers on Eid since 2016.

    Indian police arrested the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with a party leader, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, and shifted him to central jail in Srinagar.

    Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Massarat Aalam Butt, Sayeda Asiya Andarbi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ayaz Akbar, Mehraj-ud-Din Kalwal, Shahid-ul-Islam, Peer Saifullah and Bitta Karate are under illegal detention in different jails in Jammu and in India’s infamous Tihar Jail in Delhi.
    Meanwhile, a policeman was killed and seven other personnel were injured in an attack in Pantha Chowk area on the outskirts of Srinagar on Friday evening.
