Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar says an effective strategy has been adopted on the foreign front following the Pahalgam incident. Addressing a ceremony organized by the Old Ravian Association in Lahore, he said Pakistan has given a befitting response to India's actions.

Deputy Prime Minister said India's announcement of terminating Indus Waters Treaty is an irresponsible act.

Ishaq Dar said that no one can unilaterally suspend or amend the treaty without mutual agreement.

Dar has not unveiled a comprehensive water strategy post-Pahalgam, his previous initiatives indicate a focus on enhancing water resource management. He has overseen the solarization of agricultural tube wells in Balochistan, aiming to reduce energy costs and promote sustainable water usage.

Dar has assured the security and timely completion of the Jagran 2 Hydropower Project in Azad Kashmir, highlighting the government's commitment to bolstering water infrastructure.

In the wake of heightened tensions, Pakistan's leadership, under Dar's guidance, appears poised to defend its water rights vigorously while continuing to invest in sustainable water management solutions.
