  • CM GB lays foundation stone of first cancer hospital in Gilgit

    The foundation stone laying ceremony of first ever Cancer Hospital project was held in Gilgit on Friday.

    Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman laid foundation stone of the hospital building.

    Addressing to the ceremony he lauded former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who had announced to establish the hospital and paid tribute to Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission which is providing services in power and health sectors in the country.

    He said Punjab Government has released cheques worth of 220 million rupees while federal Government has paid ninety million rupees to patients of cancer from GB for treatment.

    An amount of 2.42 billion rupees would be spent on the project.
