  • Govt allocates 3.63 billion rupees for uplift of education sector

    One divisional public school each is being established in the headquarters of all seven districts

    In Gilgit Baltistan‚ Government has allocated 3.63 billion rupees for uplift of education sector.

    According to annual development programme a Para Lekha Gilgit Baltistan programme is being initiated at a cost of one hundred and fifty million rupee.

    Setting up of Science laboratories in education al institutions‚ construction of Benazir Memorial Hall and construction of Karakoram International University Skardu campus also include in the programme.

    One divisional public school each is being established in the headquarters of all seven districts.

    The Chinese language is also been introduced in school of Gilgit Baltistan. Initially‚ these classes would be started in one school of each district.

    A Board of Examination has been established to hold the exams of class fifth and eight on Gilgit Baltistan level to make the examination system transparent.

    A separate Text Book Board is also being established in Gilgit Baltistan to design curriculum and syllabus for the schools.
