    “All board exams have been cancelled and students of class 9, 10, 11, and 12 will be promoted for the next class on the basis of results obtained in the previous class,” he added.

    A student can get admission in a university on the basis of his 11th class result, he said.

    Shafqat Mehmood added that the decision has been taken on the consensus of all provinces and added that students will be able to enroll in the next class as soon as the school reopens in July.

    Moreover, the government has decided to lift lockdown restrictions starting from Saturday (May 9), Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced on Thursday.

    Briefing the National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting to end lockdown across Pakistan, he said the decision has been made in consultation with all provincial chief ministers.

    The premier has stressed on the importance to observe social distancing and maintain discipline to combat the fight against Coronavirus. The lockdown has been lifted to ease people’s lives specially the daily earners, he said.

    PM added 35 percent of our revenue collection has decreased, while exports have also come down. The labourers and small business has suffered a lot due to shutdown in the country.
