The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge called on the President here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr Islamabad today. The Royal couple was accompanied by Mr. Thomas Drew, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Simon Case, Principal Private Secretary to the Duke and Mr. Christian Jones, Communications Secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The President of Pakistan and the First Lady welcomed the Royal couple. The President commended the visiting dignitaries for their endeavors to raise awareness about mental health, climate change, and poverty alleviation.
The Duke of Cambridge thanked the President for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his entourage. The Royal couple appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Government of Pakistan to combat climate change and to alleviate poverty.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a 5-day visit to Pakistan, during which they would visit Islamabad, Lahore and the Northern areas of Pakistan.
