For the appointment of members of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Sindh and Balochistan, Opposition leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to details, Shehbaz Sharif in a letter has suggested senior lawyer Khalid Jawaid, Justice (r) Abdul Rasool Memon and justice (r) Noorul-Haq Qureshi names for ECP Sindh members.

Likewise, three names have been suggested for Balochistan members which include; Salahuddin Mengal, Shah Muhammad Jatoi and Rauf Ata.

In a letter Shehbaz wrote that: “Detailed mutual consideration is necessary for the appointment of ECP members. PM Imran levelled baseless allegations on the previous members of the ECP and declared his own nominated person as incompetent in a letter written to the foreign minister later.”

The opposition leader has requested PM Imran to seriously consider upon the above-mentioned members.

Last month, in a letter sent by the PM Office to Shehbaz, PM Imran suggested names for the appointment of two members of ECP from Sindh and Balochistan.
