Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has invited major opposition leaders for a grand Iftar dinner in Islamabad today.
According to media reports, a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) delegation headed by former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will attend the Iftar dinner.
The PML-N delegation includes Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shahbaz, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Pervaiz Rashid.
Leaders from Awami National Party and Jamaat-e-Islami will also attend the Iftar dinner.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal will however not attend the event due to other commitments.
Bilawal Bhutto had personally invited all these leaders over the phone.
The opposition parties will discuss the economic situation of the country besides formulating a strategy against the government in the Iftar dinner.
The opposition is planning to give a tough time to the government after Eid-ul-Fitr.
