Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan called on President Arif Alvi in Islamabad on Tuesday and discussed matters pertaining to the media including its role in the image building of Pakistan.
The special assistant said that the president has entrusted him the responsibility to address the problems faced by the media.
Later talking to the state media, Firdous Ashiq Awan said our aim is to empower the media and link it with the interests of the country.
She said we want digitalization of media and equip it with the latest technology and the same was discussed during the meeting with President Arif Alvi.
