  • Senate passes resolution, extension of PM’s Scholarship Programme

    Senate resumed its session at the Parliament House in Islamabad today.

    The Upper House is transacting private members’ business.

    At the outset, the house offered Fateha for those martyred in terrorist attack in Gwadar.

    ‘The Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electric Power (Amendment) bill, 2019’ was laid before the house today. It was moved by Leader of the House in the Senate Syed Shibli Faraz.

    The chair referred the bill to the standing committee concerned.

    The Senate today passed a resolution recommending that the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Programme for the students of Balochistan be extended for further five years.

    It was moved by Senator Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi.
