Newly-appointed Federal Minister for Technology and Science after latest reshuffle into the federal cabinet, Fawad Chaudhry, on Friday vowed that he will ‘openly defend [Prime Minister] Imran Khan even now’.

Fawad Chaudhry, in his latest Twitter message, while responding to user’s comment, was of the view that families exist in politics for ‘100 years’ and he witnesses arrival and departure of many officials who assumed higher positions.

The federal minister said that he has always maintained the stance that the premier has discretionary power for [making changes into] federal cabinet.

“I had told Prime Minister about me to perform better as a Member of National Assembly (MNA), however, it was the decision of PM [for me] to run the Ministry of Science and Technology,” he added.

Earlier, a user tweet that the ministers, who were loyal and defendant to Imran Khan including Asad Umar, Fawad Chaudhry and Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, were removed from their position.

He opined that the decisions seemed ‘internal differences’ and a bid to weaken the rule of Imran Khan. He also expressed his thoughts that the recent reshuffle apparently a result of ‘external’ pressure instead of ‘internal’ [differences].
