    Pakistan has opened its first International Information Tourist Corner in Belgium to introduce Europeans with the country’s tourism potential.

    As per details, Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari inaugurated a Tourist Information Corner at the Pakistan’s embassy in Brussels with an objective to promote the country’s unique culture, mesmerizing scenic views of its northern areas and their traditional lifestyle.

    The corner features books and pamphlets on tourist attractions in Pakistan.

    In her address, Shireen Mazari said the present government is committed to promotion of sustainable tourism in the country.

    The incumbent government has taken several steps to give a boost to tourism industry in Pakistan. Recently, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated Pakistan’s online visa regime for foreign nationals of 190 countries.

    Under the new policy, e-visa facility is being provided to only five countries at present, which include Turkey, China, Malaysia, United Kingdom, and United Arab Emirates.

    Later, it will be extended to 170 countries, out of which 90 countries will be offered business visa, while 55 states will be granted visa on arrival.
