Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid on Saturday announced that salaries of railways police will be brought at par with those of Punjab police.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Rashid said, “Verbal approval has been granted for bringing salaries of railways police at par with those of Punjab police.”
“Within the next six months, we will launch two VVIP trains. Further, this month if the premier has time then we will inaugurate the installation of GPS trackers in trains,” he added.
“We are also starting railways’ FM radio,” Rashid continued.
The railways minister further said, “We will move the Supreme Court to recover Rs3 billion of Pakistan Railways from Royal Palm Golf and Country Club.”
