Islamabad (November 29, 2018): An Accountability Court in Islamabad will resume the hearing of Al-Azizia and Flagship References Case today where National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will present final evidence before the court.

According to sources, Nawaz Sharif will not appear before the court today and an exemption plea will be put forward before AC today for his absence from the hearing session held today.

Reportedly, the PML-N Nawaz Sharif will be busy today in a gathering for the recitation of the Holy Quran for deceased wife Kulsoom Nawaz’s salvation.

The Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Arshad will hear the case against Nawaz Sharif as the hearing lurks in final stages.Furthermore, NAB prosecutor will submit final evidence before the Accountability court today.

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is likely to produce statements before accountability court today regarding completion of evidence as the cross-questioning has been completed by Khuwaja Haris over Investigation Officer of NAB, Mohammad Kamran.Earlier yesterday (November 28), Nawaz Sharif’s lawyer Khuwaja Haris carried on with his cross-examination over NAB Officer Mohammad Kamran.

The NAB Investigation Officer Mohammad Kamran told that the PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif in his addresses to either National Assembly or before the nation, instead of referring to Hussain and Hasan Nawaz’s Companies mentioned about ‘abroad businesses of his sons’.

“No separate reference regarding Hasan Nawaz’s company business in Britain was given. Although it is true that Nawaz Sharif was not attaining any designation from October 12, 1999 to 2013,” said Mohammad Kamran.Whereas, AC refused NAB’s plea of not handing over the advance questionnaire to the Former Premier Nawaz Sharif. Nawaz Sharif has been provided with another questionnaire consisting of 62 questions.

Moreover, the court also denied NAB’s objection over allowing Defense lawyer Khuwaja Haris to present final evidence first.

Talking to media outside accountability court, former prime minister raised questions over a Dubai property owned by PM Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, and demanded the NAB to probe into her sources for purchasing the property.

He said the NAB does hold investigations against members of his party, adding that the anti-corruption watchdog should also find out how the prime minister’s sister purchased the property.

This month, Aleema Khan deposited half the total cost of her previously undeclared Dubai property with tax authorities as the penalty. He said the prime minister’s sister paid fine for hiding property, questioning, “Isn’t it an NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance)?”

He said that Aleema is also a board member of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH), the former premier asked what is the money trail of her property.

“Where from did Aleema Khan get property worth billions in Dubai,” Nawaz questioned, adding that Aleema Khan does not even have any sources of income.

Nawaz said that the nation wants to know who is behind Aleema Khan’s property.Aleema paid 25 per cent of the total estimated amount of her luxurious flat, “The Lofts East-1406”, in taxes and 25 per cent fine charges, officials had said. The prime minister’s sister was slapped with a double penalty (taxes and fine) because she did not disclose the said property worth around Rs74 million.
