    Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani telephoned Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan and congratulated him on his Party’s success in the general election.

    Sheikh Tamim expressed his desire to expand ties with the incoming government in Pakistan.

    He extended an invitation to the prime minister-in-waiting to visit Qatar.

    On his part, Imran Khan said Pakistan accords great respect to its ties with Qatar and expressed the hope that the two governments would work together to further improve the bilateral relationship.

    On the other hand, United Nations Development Programme’s Resident Representative in Pakistan Neil Buhne called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan at Bani Gala in Islamabad and felicitated him on his party’s success in general election.

    During the meeting, Neil Buhne said we had worked with PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and are willing to work in Centre.

    He said we are ready to support new government to eradicate corruption, establish rule of law, introduce educational reforms and empower the youth.

    He showed interest in rehabilitation process of internally displaced persons and to overcome challenges emerging after FATA-KP merger.

    Imran Khan thanked UNDP’s Resident Representative in Pakistan for his good wishes and said they will seek cooperation from UNDP after transfer of power.
