    The process of recounting of votes is underway in several constituencies of National and provincial assemblies today (Saturday).

    The recount was ordered on the appeals of candidates who contested in their respective constituencies in recently held general elections 2018.

    NA-131 Lahore

    The votes in NA-131 are being recounted on the appeal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Saad Rafique who lost the election battle against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan with a difference of only 680 votes.

    Imran Khan had secured 84,313 votes while former minister for railways Saad Rafique took 83,633 votes.

    NA-108 Faisalabad

    In NA-108 Faisalabad, the recounting is continued on the plea of PML-N candidate Abid Sher Ali who secured 111529 votes and stood second while PTI’s Farrukh Habib bagged 112740 votes.

    It is to be mentioned here that the number of rejected votes in the NA-108 constituency is 5177.

    NA-154 Multan

    In NA-154 Multan, the recounting is continued on the plea of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate Abdul Qadir Gilani who secured 64257 votes and stood second while PTI’s Ahmed Hussain Dehr gained 74220 votes.

    NA-157 Multan-IV

    The recount in NA-157 Multan-lV is also started on the request of PPP candidate Ali Musa Gilani who received 70830 votes and stood second while PTI’s Zain Qureshi grabbed top position after getting 77371 votes.

    NA-237 Karachi

    The vote recount is continued in NA-237 Karachi where PTI candidate Jamil Ahmed Khan emerged victorious after getting 33280 votes while PPP’s Abdul Hakim Baloch stood second with 31907votes.

    PP-283 Layyah

    PML-N’s Mehr Ijaz Achlana has re-emerged victorious in PP-283 Layyah after recount on PTI candidate’s plea Sajjad Hussain Khan who secured 43,968 votes.

    PP-115 Faisalabad

    The votes in PP-115 Faisalabad are being recounted on the appeal of PTI’s Dr Asad Moazzam who lost the election battle with 53364 votes against PML-N’s Ali Abbas Khan who took 53784 votes.

    PP-162 Lahore

    In PP-162 Lahore, the recounting is continued on the plea of PTI candidate Aleem Khan who secured 15491 votes and stood second while PML-N’s Muhammad Yasin Sohal bagged 42012 votes.
