    Following the summons issued by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the co-chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has set up a legal team to frame a strategy to handle the current situation.

    The legal team of the former president will be comprised of Farooq Naeek, Aitzaz Ahsan, Nayar Bukhari and Latif Khusa.

    According to sources, the legal team will brief Asif Zardari over the issue, while Zardari will decide his appearance before the Supreme Court after the consultation.
    Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) issued notices summoning former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister, Faryal Talpur, in relation to a Rs35 billion money laundering scam.

    Zardari and Talpur have been summoned on at 10 am tomorrow (July 11) to record their statements in the case and a notice has been issued to them in this regard, said Director FIA Munir Ahmed Shaikh.

    On Monday, the names of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman and his sister were placed on the Exit Control List (ECL) on Supreme Court’s orders, according to sources.
