Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday reached Russian on an official visit.
In a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS met Commander Russian Federation Ground Forces Colonel General Oleg Salyukov in Moscow.
Durign the meeting, the Russian Commander said that said that he wanted to build strong relations between Pakistan and Russian armed forces.
He also acknowledged achievements of Pakistan Army in fight against terrorism.
Speaking on the ocassion, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked Col Gen Oleg Salyukov and said that Russia has played a positive role in improving the regional situation.
He said that Pakistan will continue to play its role in keeping the region united and for the resolution of regional issues.
