    Supreme Court has ordered to remove name of Information Minister from the committee formed by the government for PEMRA Laws.

    Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Saqib Nisar said in his remarks that Maryam Aurangzeb is keener in giving statements now a days, she don’t have time.According to the details, a three member bench headed by the CJP heard the case of media commission. CJP said in his remarks that committee cannot work freely in presence of Maryam Sahiba. It will be difficult for her to spare time for the committee as she is keener is giving statements now a days.

    CJP ordered to remove Maryam Aurangzeb from the committee formed for appointment of Chairman PEMRA.In earlier hearing of the case, the Supreme Court (SC) was informed that the prime minister had not yet approved the names of prominent persons for the selection board to appoint a permanent chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra).In pursuance of court direction, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Fawad Hassan Fawad appeared before the court and informed that that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had not yet approved the names of prominent persons for the selection board for the appointment of a permanent Pemra chairman.
