    Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal claimed that the successful conduct of PSL’s final in Karachi indicates that the civil and military joint efforts have broken the backbone of terrorists.

    Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday, he said the armed forces, police and the people of Pakistan have jointly defeated terrorism and restored peace in the country that also left positive impact on economy’s improving.

    The Interior Minister also announced to celebrate a three-day spring festival in Islamabad from 6th of the next month.He said sports, literary, recreational, and cultural programmes will be the hallmark of the maiden spring festival.

    He said on the concluding day of the festival citizens of Islamabad will be persuaded towards tree plantation and plants will be grown on Margalla Hills.

    Ahsan Iqbal said the festival will help highlight positive image of the country.

    He said participation of all the provinces will be ensured in all the programmes to be arranged for the festival.
