The accountability court hearing references against Ishaq Dar over assets beyond known income resources reserved its verdict on the plea from former NBP President Muhammad Saeed to reject the interim NAB reference filed against him.

Giving his arguments over the case, Saeed’s counsel Hashmat Habib said that as per the language used in the interim NAB reference, there could be no case against his client.

He said that the interim reference was against the decision of the Panama verdict from the apex court and the court had rejected the statement from Ishaq Dar.

He demanded to reject the NAB interim reference and also compensate his client over false allegations.

The NAB prosecutor argued that Saeed Ahmed willfully opened the account on fake signatures and even his foreign currency accounts remained operational from 1997 to 2006 and were credited with millions of rupees.

The court after hearing both sides adjourned the hearing till tomorrow to announce its decision.
