State minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said on Friday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) renegade Ayesha Gulalai’s accusation is mere a stunt to secure political fame and futile attempt for importance over which the party would pursue legal action.

The state minister gave a statement in reaction to Gulalai’s allegation leveled earlier today about ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) having offered her a ticket to contest for Senate seat in upcoming election in return for maligning the military.

She said that Gulalai’s statement is based on a lie and is condemnable. Aurangzeb said that Gulalai had quit PTI but is still to quit the practice of lying as taught by her former party chief. The state minister demanded of the PTI renegade to identify the leader of the ruling party who allegedly has offered him a Senate ticket.

She announced to pursue legal action against Gulalai for alleged baseless accusations. She further said that PML-N does not require anyone from outside the party to contest Senate election when there are many loyal and sincere party workers.
