Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah has said on Thursday that ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) does not need to strike any kind of understanding with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) saying that PML-N’s invitation of grand dialogue was meant for all parties not specifically one party and if PPP wishes to become a hurdle in grand dialogue then this stain on PPP will sustain for times to come.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, he said that amendment bill has been passed in the National Assembly at the right time and if PPP wishes to oppose it misusing their democratic right then they will only be pleasing the anti-democracy forces in the country.

On Zardari, Rana Sanaullah said that Zardari has been accused of damaging PPP’s political repute and now he is upto damging democracy’s repute in the country.

Commenting on Imran Khan, he said that he has emerged as a ‘puppet’ of the ‘anti-democracy forces’ in the country but in 2018 election, Public mandate will spell the end of PTI Chairman’s political career.

Responding to a question regarding Islamabad sit-in, he said that constitutional provision regarding finality of prophethood is intact and Tehreek-e-Labbaik’s demands are merely religious and not political.

“We wish to solve the issue peacefully and it is not a matter of concern since all state bodies including the government, institutions and public are in total agreement with regard to the finality of prophethood. However, the state doesn’t approve of distuptances created by the sit in,” he added.
