    Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has directive to utilize all available resources to provide relief to rain affective people in Karachi.

    He issued directives at a briefing regarding damages assessment and current satiation in Karachi after heavy rains.

    Sindh government must be provided with all the facilities in this regard, Abbasi said, adding that all help must be extended for the people of Karachi.

    “All facilities must be utilised to provide relief to ordinary citizens,” he added.

    At least 14 people, including four children, died after Karachi was battered with heavy rainfall on Thursday which saw Army contingents being deployed to assist in rescue efforts.

    Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had taken notice of the rain emergency in Karachi. He had instructed the Army, Rangers, National Highway Authorities among others to take adequate measures and play an active role in rescue work.

    “All possible efforts must be made for rescue activities,” Abbasi had remarked.
