The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced today that the moon of Moharramul Harram 1437 AD has been sighted in the country and the Ashura would fall on October 24 (Saturday).
The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for sighting the moon of Muharram-ul-Haram was presided over by its Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman this evening.
The moon sighting testimony was received from Bahawalpur.
Meanwhile, comprehensive security plans have been devised for all the provinces for Muharram.
Pakistan Ulema Council has also issued a 10-point code of conduct to be practised during the month of Muharram.
