Security plan for the month of Muharram for the capital city has been compiled on Friday. Army has been placed on standby to deal with any emergency situation.
A high level meeting headed by the Chief Commissioner Zulfiqar Haider drafted the security plans for Muharram. According to the plan police, civil administration and Rangers will perform security duties while Army has been placed on standby in case of any emergency.
Each procession will be monitored with video recording and CCTV. Chief Commissoner has issued guidance to police and District Commission Officer for finalizing the security plan. IG Islamabad, DC, SSP Operations and Rangers officials were also present at the occasion.
