Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed firm determination to eradicate scourge of terrorism from country.

Talking to media along with Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti at Civil Hospital in Quetta tonight, he said terrorists involved in today’s incident will not be spared at any cost.

He reiterated the federal government's stance, declaring, "We will eradicate the wave of terrorism from the country."

Naqvi also assured that the government is focused on addressing security lapses, specifically referencing the recent security concerns at the Quetta Railway Station, adding, "We are closely monitoring all security gaps and working towards correcting them."

The interior minister emphasised that the federal government is fully supporting the provincial government of Balochistan in its fight against terrorism.

He further noted that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had ordered an inquiry into the recent bombing in Quetta, underlining the government's commitment to bringing those responsible to justice.

"We are at war with terrorism, and we will give results. The government’s objective is to fight terrorism through comprehensive and coordinated efforts across the country," said Naqvi.

Meanwhile, CM Bugti expressed concern about the growing influence of external actors inciting violence in the region. "We must investigate who is inciting Baloch youth to engage in violence," he said, urging a thorough investigation into the roots of this unrest.

CM Bugti also raised concerns about the silence of international human rights organisations, criticising their failure to condemn such acts of violence in the region. "Where are the so-called champions of human rights when such atrocities occur?" Bugti questioned.

Both leaders' remarks come at a time when Balochistan has seen an uptick in terrorist activities, and security forces are working to contain the violence. The federal government has pledged to continue supporting Balochistan in addressing these challenges, while also strengthening national security measures.
