Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari exchanged Eid greetings over telephone on Monday.
They also discussed overall and political situation of the country.
They expressed determination to work in coordination for country's betterment.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned the Governors of all four provinces to congratulate them on Eid ul Azha.
He also spoke to Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Gulber Khan to convey Eid greetings.
The Prime Minister telephoned President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Prime Minister of AJK Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq to wish them Eid ul Azha.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also telephoned political leaders of the country to convey Eid greetings.
These include PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, President JUI Molana Fazal ur Rehma, President PML-Q Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, Chairman MQM-P Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Abdul Aleem Khan, Sardar Khalid Magsi, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Aftab Sherpao and Professor Sajid Mir.
In his conversation with the political leaders, the Prime Minister said all possible steps were taken to provide relief to the people in the budget of new fiscal year.
He expressed hope that all the parties in the coalition government will continue to play their role for the economic stability of Pakistan.
The political leaders also congratulated the Prime Minister on Eid-ul-Azha. They expressed their best wishes and vowed to continue cooperation with the coalition government.
