Tehreek-e-Insaf has formed a committee to prepare for local body elections in Punjab. Former Speaker Punjab Assembly Sabtain Khan was appointed as the Chairman of the Committee. A formal notification was issued with the signature of Secretary General Umar Ayub.
According to the notification Humayun Akhtar along with Riyaz Fatiana, Rai Azizullah, Faisal Sher Jan, Tariq Deen, Hafiz Farhat, Waseem Qadir and Ijaz Manhas were also appointed as the chairman of the local body committee. Apart from this, Farrukh Habib West Punjab, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi North, Dr. Yasmin Rashid Central while Aun Abbas Bapi were appointed as Regional President of South Punjab.
While Rai Murtaza was appointed as Regional General Secretaries of Local Government Committee in West Punjab, Hamad Azhar in Central Punjab, and Moin Qureshi in South Punjab.
