  • Balochistan suspends on-strike doctors

    Balochistan govt has suspended the on-strike doctors and stopped their salaries.

    Addressing a press conference Secretary Health Asmatullah Kakar said action would be taken against those doctors who are doing private practice without No Objection Certificate.

    Disciplinary action will also be taken against the doctors who attend their private clinics and remain absent from government hospitals, he said.

    It has also been decided that the Heart and General Hospital will be sealed, he added.

    The secretary health said the degrees and foreign tours by the doctors would also be probed.

    Government will appoint new doctors in place of the suspended doctors, he said.

    Pakistan Medical Association Balochistan announced strike to protest the kidnapping of Doctor Saeed Khan on October 16.
    Many doctors were arrested and booked in different cases.

    Doctors have announced closure of emergency services even on 9th and 10th of Muharram.
